PJ's Awesome Canteen opened an offshoot in Penang this year in the Sekeping Victoria vacation retreat; it remains acclaimed for its ‘Paleo’ recipes, focusing on nutritious protein sources, vegetables and fruits, with vibrant highlights like grilled butterfish fillet with sweet potatoes and honeydew sauce, and a pomegranate salad with rocket and avocado, alongside the baristas' bevy of beverages, notably the Red Tonic, a sparkling drink of cold brew cascara (coffee cherries) and tonic water.
